What is APT Pain and Scar release therapy?
(Based on MPS therapy)
● Non-Pharmaceutical Pain Management
and
● Scar Release Therapy
Non-Pharmaceutical Pain Management:
A non-Invasive Holistic therapy that combines the principles of acupuncture (with no needles), electro-mechanical massage therapy, Neuromuscular trigger point therapy and myofascial release to treat pain (muscular pain, joint pain and other), scars and the pains associated with scars (both local and distant from the scar site.)
Scar Release: Can scars, both big and small, really cause pain and dysfunction in other areas of the body?
SCARS are universal and take on many forms from surgical, sprained joints, torn muscles, inflammation, or any areas that are injured with trauma. We all accumulate scars throughout our lives, and they impact our bodies in many negative ways. As an example, C-sections and abdominal scars may be a hidden cause for millions suffering from chronic pain, as they have been reported, to Chronic Post-Surgical Pain (CPSP), back pain, shoulder pain and neuropathic (nerve pain).
Our exclusive APT sessions can not only help with the appearance of scars, but also help with pain and adhesions; both in local scar locations and in distant areas which you may not realize are associated with the scar.

What is Neuromuscular Therapy?
‘Neuromuscular Therapy is a program of recovery from acute and chronic pain syndromes by utilizing specific massage therapy, including the pressure of trigger points, to eliminate the causes of pain patterns. This approach brings about balance between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. It enhances the function of joints, muscles, and movement, and it releases endorphins, the body's own natural pain killers.’

Neuromuscular Therapy deals with a wide range of principles and is sometimes also known as ‘Trigger Point Therapy.’
What is Reflexology?
‘Popularized in the United States by physiotherapist Eunice Inghram in the 1930s, this is an acupressure type technique performed on the hands and feet and is based on the ancient Oriental theory that meridian lines or pathways carry energy throughout the body. Because each zone or part of the body has a corresponding reflex point on the feet, stimulating that reflex point causes stimulation in the natural energy of the related organ. Crystalline-type deposits and/or tenderness indicate a dysfunction, and pressure is applied to clear out congestion and restore normal functioning.....’
